Stance Bout is a free, offline-friendly fighting game about reading a telegraph rather than out-speeding one. Your opponent draws a tell — a hook, a straight or a low — as a visible arc, and you answer by holding one of three stances. Hold the right one and the blow lands on your guard and opens them; hold the wrong one and it lands on your chin. There is no combo string and no button mashing: a bout is a sequence of reads, and you always have time to make each one. Nine named challengers each introduce exactly one new idea, and a corner card between bouts lets you spend standing on wrap, breath or reach. Your chin is five pips, so a run ends on an accumulated misreading rather than one mistake.

Watch your opponent draw a tell: an arc rising from the lead shoulder is a HOOK, one along the centre is a STRAIGHT, one sweeping low is a LOW. Hold the matching stance — COVER answers the hook, ANGLE answers the straight, PRESS answers the low — and keep holding it until the blow lands. A correct read takes the hit on your guard and leaves them open; cash that opening with a tap for real damage. A wrong read costs a chin pip, and you have five. Guard regenerates between exchanges but breath does not, so pressing every opening is not free. Between bouts a corner card spends standing on wrap, breath or reach. Two clean bouts in a run bank one Second Wind, which restores your chin once when it would reach zero. Clear the ninth challenger to open the endless nights; your standing carries between sessions, and a night that opens deeper gives you a longer rope to match.
