About Card Crawl

The platform's first card / deckbuilder-roguelike (Slay-the-Spire family). Play Lumen, a lantern-bearer descending an 8-floor dungeon. Each turn you spend Energy to play Attack, Block and Power cards against telegraphed Murk enemies; win a fight and draft 1 of 3 reward cards into your deck — your power compounds run after run. Block expires each turn, poison ticks, Strength stacks — manage your HP across the ladder and slay the boss, the Maw.

How to play

Tap a card in your hand, then tap the foe to play it (PC: click, or number keys 1-9; Space/Enter ends your turn). You get 3 Energy per turn — Strike to attack, Guard for Block (absorbs the enemy's NEXT, telegraphed hit), Venom for Poison, Focus for Strength. End your turn and the enemy acts on its shown Intent. Clear a fight to draft a new card and descend. HP carries between fights — heal and block wisely. Beat all 8 floors to escape; your deepest floor is saved and your run resumes if you leave.
