Über Ember Keep

Ember Keep is a free, offline-friendly tower defense with one hand on the fire. The long night has come to a mountain keep and eight frozen approaches converge on the Hearth at its centre. Your fire is finite and directional: braziers sit in a ring of eight sockets around the Hearth, and each brazier only burns down the arc it is currently facing. So you never place a tower and walk away - you read which approaches are lighting up, turn the whole ring so the hot fire faces the heavy lane, and accept that whatever you turn away from is now uncovered. Braziers heat as they fire and ash out if you leave them burning, so the ring is a rotation you keep managing rather than a layout you finish. Between waves a short forge phase lets you spend embers at your own pace, and every wave is named, arriving with a readable new pressure rather than just more of the same. Twenty wards absorb what leaks, so a single mistake never ends the watch, and clearing the designed waves rolls straight into an endless Ash Era.

Drag anywhere to rotate the ring of braziers so the burning arc covers the approach that is lighting up. Each brazier only damages the arc it faces, so turning toward one lane turns away from another - that is the whole decision. Watch the heat gauge on each socket: a brazier that keeps firing overheats and ashes out, going dark until it cools, so spread the load rather than parking the hot side on one lane. Wards are your mistake budget, shown as pips at the Hearth; leaked enemies cost wards, not the run. Between waves the forge opens - spend embers to add a brazier, raise a socket or improve an archetype, and take as long as you like, the wave only starts when you open the gate. Later waves arrive named and introduce a new pressure each time.
