Über Hex Bastion

Hex Bastion is a free, offline-friendly tower defense where your towers have no power of their own. A honeycomb of thirty-seven hexes floats over a dead world with the Bastion Core at its centre, and the Rust crawls inward from six rim gates. Bastions standing on the board are inert until the Core's flux reaches them, and flux only travels along a conduit - a contiguous chain of hexes you draw with one finger, starting at the Core and growing outward. A bastion on the line fires; a bastion one hex off the line is dark and useless. So the game is not where to build, it is which of your existing defenses to energise right now, redrawn every time the gates change. Corroders latch onto your conduit and eat it from the far end, so a long greedy line is fragile and a forked line spreads thin. Twenty core lives absorb what leaks, waves arrive named with a readable new pressure, and a player-paced rearm phase sits between them.

Drag from the Bastion Core outward to draw the flux conduit through the honeycomb - it must be one continuous chain of touching hexes. Any bastion sitting on that chain powers up and fires automatically; anything off it goes dark. Watch which of the six rim gates are lighting up and redraw the line so it threads the bastions covering those gates. You can fork the line to cover two gates at once, but the flux thins, so a fork is a real trade. Corroders latch on and eat the conduit from its far end, so an over-long line collapses; cut back and re-route rather than defending it. Core lives are your mistake budget, shown at the centre - leaks cost lives, not the run. Between waves the rearm phase lets you spend at your own pace, and the wave only starts when you choose.
