About Rune Weave
Rune Weave is a free, offline-friendly word game built on the word-ladder idea: change one letter at a time to walk from one real word to another. The loom holds a single live word spelled in rune tiles, and below it the tray shows every word you can reach by changing exactly one rune. Tap one and the rune snaps over, the old word drops behind you as a knot on the thread, and the new word becomes live. Thread your way to the loom's named pattern word and the loom is woven. There is no hidden answer to guess and no vocabulary wall: every legal step is shown to you, so the puzzle is choosing the right path, not recalling an obscure word. The looms are a named ladder that stacks constraints as you climb - a pinned rune that cannot change, a banned letter that thins the tray, waypoints you must pass through - with a deliberate relief loom after every couple of escalations. It is strictly no-fail, so a session ends when you decide to stop.
How to play
Look at the pattern word at the top of the loom, then tap a word in the tray below to make it live - the tray only ever contains words that are exactly one rune different from your current word. Each tap ties a knot on the thread behind you. Keep stepping until the live word is the pattern word. Watch for constraints as you climb: a pinned rune is locked and cannot be the one you change, a banned letter is removed from the tray, and a waypoint is a word you must pass through on the way. Par is a guide, not a limit - going over par costs nothing but style. If you ever stall with no useful step, Respool rewinds the thread once and re-targets it so play continues. Nothing here can end your run.
