About Lantern Depths

The platform's second RPG and its first endless real-time dungeon-crawl. You pilot the Lanternbearer ever deeper into a living cavern: steer with one finger and your blade auto-strikes the nearest beast you face. Slay the Brood for XP and Embers, level up to pick a boon, grab relics from Warden elites, and descend floor after floor. Floors never stop — clearing one always opens the stairs to a harder one, so it is endless by design and the delve ends only when your hero falls. Bank Embers each run to buy permanent Ember Hearth upgrades that make your next delve start stronger.

How to play

Steer the Lanternbearer around the cavern (mobile: drag one finger; desktop: WASD or arrow keys) — your blade auto-strikes every beast inside the cone you face, so the skill is positioning and kiting. Slain beasts drop XP and Ember orbs that fly to you; fill the XP bar to level up and pick one of three boons. Clear a floor to open the green stairs, then step onto them to descend deeper. Spend a Lantern Flare (button or Space/F/Shift) to nova the whole screen. Every 5th floor a Warden elite drops a relic. The floors only get harder; the run ends only when your HP hits zero. Spend Embers in the Ember Hearth on permanent upgrades.
