About Relic Run

Relic Run is a free, offline-friendly caravan RPG played entirely at your own pace. The Sunken Vault flooded a century ago, and you lead a three-bearer caravan hauling recovered relics back up the vault road toward daylight, one named leg at a time. Every threat you meet prints its intent track on the wall in front of you: the next two to four actions it will take, each with its beat number and its exact value, drawn left to right. There is no hidden information and no dice at the moment of decision - you can always see what is coming and exactly how hard it will land. The clock only moves when you do: each relic you spend, and each deliberate hold, consumes exactly one beat, so you can stare at a board for as long as you like before committing. Every third leg the caravan reaches a waystation where you re-pack the relic row against a preview of the next three legs, trading worn relics out and fresh ones in. Deeper legs print longer intent tracks that your old pack simply cannot answer, so the run is a slow, readable escalation rather than a reflex test - and a single misread costs a bearer, never the run.

Read the intent track above the threat first: each chip shows a beat number and the exact value that will land. Tap HOLD to pass a beat deliberately when you would rather let an intent resolve than waste a charge. Relics lose a point of wear each time they fire, so the row you start a leg with is the row you must ration across it. Clear a leg to advance the caravan; every third leg opens a waystation where you re-pack the row against a preview of the next three legs. Bearers absorb what you fail to answer - lose all of them and the run ends, so spend charges to protect them rather than to rush.
